About us

Juskus Gallery, opened in the very heart of Vilnius Old Town next to Sereikiškės Park in 1990, is the first private gallery of professional art in Lithuania. From the very start, the Gallery has sought to set up a unique oasis of culture at the foot of Gediminas Hill. The core activity of Juskus gallery lies in representing and promoting the 20th century Lithuanian and Baltic fine arts of Modern Classics.

 Juskus Gallery introduces art lovers to the works of art created by the best-known painters and renowned artists that have already acquired museum value. Chamber premises of the Gallery regularly host personal, collective and thematic exhibitions of the outstanding classics and contemporary painters. The art exhibitions organised by Juskus Gallery receive wide coverage in mass media, TV and web publications.

A very important field of Juskus Gallery business is the sales of paintings as well as the building of corporate, personal or family collections. Experienced Gallery experts provide professional consulting on the issues of art to private collectors and enterprises ready to invest into works of art. Juskus Gallery assists its clients in making decisions, acquiring accurately selected works of art that stand out in certain periods, assessing the collection value and anticipating the growth of this value.

Juskus Gallery holds exhibitions not only in its premises but also in other Lithuanian cities and abroad. The Gallery maintains partnerships with the major national museums and banks, and organises exhibitions in extraordinary creative venues such as churches, opera and music theatres, museums, banks etc. Juskus Gallery also upholds relations with famous artists and galleries in Latvia, Estonia and other European countries representing the fine arts of 20th century West European modern classics. 

Lithuanian painting classics presented by the Gallery were successfully exhibited in the UN headquarters in New York (US), as well as in Finland and Poland. With the help from Juškus Gallery, classic Lithuanian paintings with museum value have been acquired by well-known Lithuanian collectors, art lovers from America, Japan, Hong Kong and numerous European countries. The Gallery has already arranged more than 170 personal and collective thematic exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad.

 Educational Activities

In-line with its mission, Juskus Gallery is regularly taking part in the shaping of high culture in Lithuania and carries out the following educational and cultural activities in cooperation with the professorate of the Academy of Fine Arts: arranges lectures for schoolchildren and students as well as seminars for business clubs, engages in charity campaigns by allocating support for art-related projects and granting one-time scholarships. The Gallery has also acted in partnership with the Ministry of Education in the implementation of artistic training programmes for schoolchildren.

In the first year after the Independence Restoration, Juskus Gallery and its artists gave a present of 23 works of art of Lithuanian painters to the then Supreme Soviet. Cultural and plein air projects, classic music concerts and other types of events are regularly organised in the courtyard of Juskus Gallery.
